Hello!
Wow what a few crazy weeks!
Well were shall I start? How about the amazing 500 people that have liked my fb page! Thanks for the support guys!
I've sent my manuscript off to the editor and had it back yesterday, I must say I was so scared to open up the document lol Sending off 'Lexia' was hard, I've put blood sweat and tears into every word, sometimes I've wondered what I was doing but then I have a glass of wine or Vodka (Whatever is left!) and carry on :)
So my editor made a few suggestions and I have taken them on board and will be working my arse off all weekend and next week to meet my deadline :)
I've also started on another novel, about 5 chapters down so far, its developing into more of a fantasy novel and I've done some interesting research on Celtic druids! Spirit animals.... That's all I'm saying for now! But watch this space :)
Anyway I need to go work so enter the giveaway guys!

Journey to an Indie Author!
Sometimes you just have to go for it right?
When I woke one morning in November 2012 with a story in my head that I just had to get out, I never even imagined I'd finish it let alone have a go at self publishing.
But I did I finished it!!
And now here I am writing a blog with my eyes seeing double! - I think I've possibly read to many lines!
Over the past couple of weeks I've read every blog, article and tweet I could find on self publishing, my poor brain hasn't been worked this hard since school! (Okay maybe never)
I've made a list of all the places I need to open a profile with, its pretty long!
I joined Twitter! - Thanks to all the wonderful followers I have already.
And now I've set myself a deadline...
You see the idea of self publishing is great but the hardest part is probably being your own boss! So I've told my self 'You will have this manuscript re-read and ready' because if I don't tell myself who will?
I have no agent, or publisher pushing me forward, I have to do it myself.
So this week all I've done is read, read until my eyes hurt and my head pounds and I'm getting there one chapter at a time. There may be piles of washing slowly collecting around the house and mountains of toys being left every where but it doesn't matter, my kids don't seem to mind me cooking frozen food every night. Or switching the TV on to keep them quiet, in fact I think they love it! My husband not so much he he.
The journey of self publishing is a scaring, exciting one, some days I want to cry and others I feel high with joy but one thing is certain I will do this and you can follow me on this journey.
I'd love you hear your stories of self publishing or just a message from a fellow book fan. :)
Well I best get back to it - kids need to be put away lol

Sookie Stackhouse Book Review
So I'm sure your all familiar with the Sookie Stackhouse Novels by Charline Harris??
She recently released the last book in the series Dead Ever After...
I've been counting down the days for this release, I have loved all the books so far and LOVE the TV adaption True Blood but when I turned the last page and finished...
I was Kinda Disappointed :(
Now I'm not saying it wasn't a good book because it was but I just feel this one lacked a certain pizzazz...
*Spoilers*
Now Sookie goes through all her usual problems - someone always wants her dead (Poor Sookie) and her love life is never uneventful!
Dead Ever after finds her framed for murdered, kidnapped, humiliated by Eric (Again) When is she going to realize Eric is super hot and also kind of a jerk!
But throughout all these trials I just found it all a bit lacking in excitement, I wasn't drawn into the story like the other books.
But the thing that really got to me! The ending...
I always expected her to end up with Sam - after all he's always been loyal, always stuck by her but the way Charline leaves it leaves the reader asking 'is she going to be with him forever?' 'are they a real, serious couple?'
Where was the romance? The sizzle?
Sookie says she thinks they will be together by Christmas, maybe always...
Maybe! Maybe, I don't want a maybe I want a happily ever after...
Sookie settled! She started out as a strong kick ass woman and settled for line dancing and casseroles.
So in the end I would give the book 3 1/2 out of 5
Maybe I'm wrong, maybe everyone loved it?
I'd love to here your thoughts
As always
Happy Reading!
